Ok, I know that THIS year's Christmas hasn't even come yet but it is never too early to start prepping for next year's session, right?!?!?

The key for a successful session is to plan ahead and shop early. I already know the sets I'm hoping to have for next year's holiday mini sessions so I'm already thinking of the props I need to buy.

The biggest tip I can give you is to shop now! Looking for holiday-themed clothes? Guess what's on sale right now...holiday-themed clothes! Love matching family pajamas but don't want to break the bank to get some? They're on sale NOW!

I ordered our matching jammies through PatPat this year and they took a while to come, but they were dirt cheap and looked adorable! Little Blue House and Lazy One also have super cute family pajamas.

The be the first to know about upcoming themed sessions and specials, including next year's holiday mini sets, be sure to sign up for the newsletter.

Happy holidays everyone, and I look forward to seeing you in 2018!

I am super excited about this year's holiday sessions, despite the weather being incredibly uncooperative! The outdoor set is so pretty with the burlap and plaid theme and the indoor set is just so bright and clean. Some parents have been concerned because their child isn't able to sit or stand unassisted and they're worried their gallery isn't going to get much variety.

When a child can't sit or stand unassisted, I have the parent hold the child to get the pose (you can see mom's hand in the picture on the right), and then I take them out using Photoshop. That gets the variety parents are looking for in their gallery while making sure the child is 100% safe at all times.

How many pictures do you have on your phone right now? I'll wait while you take a look. Is it 1000? 2000? More?

Now how many pictures of those have you printed? How many hang on your walls? I'm as guilty as anyone, but it is so important to actually print those images out. Even if you put them in an album that you never look at, think of your or grandkids or great-grandkids and how much they'd love to look back and see what you looked like way back when. Even if it is just to laugh at the fashion of the times.

I offer fine art prints, but I know that isn't within everyone's budget. Just get them printed somewhere.
